well i released the new song like i said i would. the second single from derling. this is by far the fastest i've taken a song from the recording stage to actually releasing it (big W on that front). 

but with all that hard work to meet my deadline, i made one little error that threw things off. when it came time to submit the track, instead of typing in oct. 27 for the release date, i typed 17 😬

kinda forgot i had this website for a little while, but i'm back to publishing new music lately, so i should probably mark the occasion.

last month, on the 29th of september, i released a new track with my old band, Paper Puppets. back when we were recording our debut EP in 2020, there were a few songs that just didn't make the cut even though we had already started on the production process. one of those forgotten tracks was called “Ode to Pan”.

it's a song about the often unforeseen costs of pursuing your dreams. the name is a nickname for Hollywood, but really i see it as being representative of anywhere you need to go to try to get closer to the person you want to be. and in doing so, you might find it takes you further away from someone else you care about (or lots of folks…
