Bryce Doubravsky has been writing and producing his own music for over 15 years. While attending college in his hometown of Riverside, California, he spent his summers busking on the Huntington Beach pier, before finally convincing his friends to start a band. The result was the indie/folk group if&when.

In 2018, Doubravsky recorded and produced two if&when albums. The first, Box of Bones, is a full-length release featuring nearly all of the band's full lineup. The follow-up, Campfire Songs, is a more intimate, fully-acoustic EP produced by Doubravsky alone, as the group was disbanding.
His only official solo work came a couple of years later when he composed a companion soundtrack for the board game Pope or Nope in 2020. Pope or Nope (Original Game Soundtrack) is a collection of orchestral compositions primarily driven by strings and piano.
For his next release, he worked alongside his cousin, songwriter Breezy Rondilone to form Paper Puppets.

After being joined by Bryce's brother, Cody Doubravsky, on the drums and Steven Lam (another former if&when member) on the bass, they released their debut album, Look Forward, in 2021. The album features the two cousins alternating songwriting duties.

In 2022, back to primarily working on his own, Doubravsky began using TikTok as a creative outlet. After using the platform consistently for a few months, he went viral and got the attention of Sweetwater and their marketing team. After some back and forth between Bryce and his sales rep with the company, he was invited to attend Sweetwater Gearfest 2022 at their headquarters in Indiana. During the official live stream of the event, he and his sales rep were brought in for an interview to tell the whole story. He still uses TikTok to share his work, collaborate with his peers, and engage with the community.

He is currently producing his first album under the name Derling, with an expected release date in the Summer of 2023.
