very exciting news today! derling has released our first single, “Tinsel Town”.

i have been sitting on this one for a while now, so i'm very happy to get it out there finally.

it's a song about the often unforeseen costs of pursuing your dreams. the name is a nickname for Hollywood, but really i see it as being representative of anywhere you need to go to try to get closer to the person you want to be. and in doing so, you might find it takes you further away from someone else you care about (or lots of folks you care about), but that doesn't mean it isn't worth it in the end. be true to yourself and do what you gotta do.

i want to thank my friend Matt Villa for enthusiastically coming in to drum on this project. he was the missing piece i needed to finally complete this. 

i also want to thank my girlfriend, Kels Williams, for supporting me and helping me plan this release. without her help, i couldn't have completed this as quickly or as well. the artwork for the single is just one of the many things she helped me complete (along with handling all the filming in 2 videos for the song).
